Sherwin Simon is currently a social worker at Elkhart High School’s Freshman Division. According to Principal Cary Anderson “Coach Simon’s coaching credentials speak for themselves. What is truly impressive about him is his consistent investment in our students. He demonstrates great efforts to develop relationships in support of our students’ success.”
Coach Sherwin Simon’s experience began as a player first at Liberty University, a Division I program in Virginia. Since 1998, he has coached at various levels including high school, college and club. In 2012, he started his coaching tenure at Elkhart Central leading the boys’ soccer program until 2019. His overall record at Elkhart Central was 93-43-5 over eight seasons winning a sectional championship in 2012 as well as NIC Coach of the Year honors.
According to Coach Sherwin Simon, "After taking time away from the high school game for the last couple years in order to be able to watch our son travel and play collegiate soccer, I am ecstatic about my return to the coaching sidelines. In addition, I am thrilled to return to the girls’ game, where I originally got my start coaching high school soccer and I am so proud and excited to be back on the pitch with the Elkhart High School girls’ varsity soccer team starting this fall."
